  Stereo photography closely imitates viewing with both eyes. By mentally "fusing" a stereo pair people with two healthy eyes can usually merge the two images seen by their eyes into one 3D image. Foreground objects appear to “jump” with respect to background objects.

Try merging the plants. Note how the left edge of the cooktop island pops out compared to when you are viewing it "flat".
